FAQ

Why should I choose Mind Shift Project

Mind Shift Project is a gift to yourself and your daughter. It takes a village to raise a child and we would like to be a part of your village.

As girls get older and start wanting independence they often don’t listen to what their parents have to say, what if a group program with girls their own age was teaching them the life lessons you are trying to teach them at home. Getting the same information in a format delivered differently would be beneficial.

Learning self confidence, self esteem and resilience at a young age reduces the onset of depression at a later stage in their life. It also gives them the tools they can use now and in the future.

STRONG Tweens and Teens focus on non competitive energetic movement. We may do yoga, dance or a workout session. It is an opportunity for us to focus on our body and how movement makes it feel.

Do you offer weekly or fortnightly sessions

What makes the Standing Strong programs different to other programs in the area

Standing Strong Clubs focus on the kids as a whole. They work on mindset, confidence and resilience, movement in a non competitive way and mindfulness. It is a proactive and preventative wellness program designed to assist the kids through any challenges they may be facing.

It is important to us not to just focus on one part of the person, we want to make small changes in a few areas of their lives as they all come together. Exercising in a non competitive supportive group. Group discussions about a topic the kids are going through where they can feel they are not the only ones going through it and art project or journaling cementing the idea of self love into their mind may give them confidence in different ways and in different parts of their bodies.

Do you accept Creative Kids Vouchers

We are an approved provider for Creative Kids Vouchers. At the moment our approved programs are our STRONG Tween and STRONG Teen term programs. As more of our programs are approved they will be listed on our website

Why can’t I see any programs for boys

Mind Shift Project is new to the Northern Beaches therefor has decided to focus on girls before introducing boys programs. The reason the boys and girls are not together is they benefit from the program being delivered in a slightly different way. It is also important that the program is lead by a leader the same sex as the group so participants have someone to look up to and who may have experienced what they are going through. We aim to start boys programs in term 2 2020 so watch this space
